Why Am I Writing About The Incredible Selling Machine?
In September 2013, I began receiving emails about the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) by Jason Katzenback and Matt Clark from every “guru” and his dog (which is not unexpected given that a large portion of the $5000 fee for ASM is paid out as affiliate commission to individuals who promote it). The promotional movies were undoubtedly well done, and the notion of making and selling my own private label items on Amazon piqued my interest. I was about to enroll after watching the lengthy series of sales pitch films until they revealed the fee. What exactly did I do? I started looking for Amazing Selling Machine reviews, Jason Katzenback reviews, and Matt Clark reviews, just like you! After all, that is common sense before spending such a large cash. To be honest, I didn’t find anything really intriguing. The crowd-sourced judgments were, at best, mixed, and provided me no reason to part with $5000. As a relatively established Amazon seller with the benefit of hindsight, here’s my own take on the ASM:
Many of those advertising it, in my opinion, are spammers. People who promote flashy items for the sole aim of profiting from their email subscriber lists.
The program’s worth does not justify the cost. There is some nice stuff, but it is really basic. I know someone who signed up for the ASM and was really dissatisfied since she believed the substance did not merit the expense. By the way, she is a real guru who, only two years ago, was a single mother trying to support her children but is now earning over $1 million per year while educating her children.
Newcomers can get severely burned. In September 2014, I met a woman who had completed the previous ASM course. She described how she is in the midst of a massive shambles after her ASM mentors convinced a group of them to start private labeling health remedies. She has paid the Amazing exorbitant fees, is out of money since one of the suggested manufacturers botched up her goods, has not been able to sell a single unit of the products, and is fighting for a refund. She has lost thousands of dollars and may have to launch a lawsuit to recoup part of it. What a shambles. To be honest, I know one individual who completed the training and has found success with his own label items. He is, however, a member of Jim Cockrum’s My Silent Team/Proven Amazon Course community, as well as other well-founded, no-hype organizations.
Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback will only teach you how to be a one-trick pony…in a profession where you may have several revenue streams and methods. And I would never advocate that one method to anyone as a starting point. It’s akin to forcing meat down a baby’s mouth before they’ve been weaned – possibly fatal. There are simple (even free) methods to get started selling on Amazon and learn the ropes without investing hundreds of dollars. My recommended steps are outlined here.
If you have $5000 for the training and several thousand extra to manufacture your own private label and are willing to risk it all at once, the ASM could be for you. I am not against to ASM, but I believe it is incredibly costly, can be dangerous, and that there are better options available.
The name Jim Cockrum kept cropping up as someone with a demonstrated track record and very much unquestionable reputation as a trustworthy, honest, and legitimate expert in the Internet Marketing/Online sales area. This brought me to Jim Cockrum’s Amazon Proven Course (PAC). I ultimately got into it after a few days of study and consideration, and after 11 months, I constantly tell people it was the finest purchase I have ever made in my life.
Finally, it boiled down to Amazing Selling Machine against Proven Amazon Course.
Here’s a breakdown of the important points:

PAC’s three primary selling points are:
The Proven Amazon Course and Jim Cockrum have an extremely favorable reputation. By the way, I’ve now met Jim Cockrum twice and had supper with his family. He is one of those rare individuals I refer to as “The Real Deal” – down-to-earth, honest, and humble. Someone who prioritizes service to others and has a vision of empowering others to become entrepreneurs (which is one of the reasons he prices the PAC so affordably).
The cost! The Proven Amazon Course is less expensive than the Amazing Selling Machine ($399 vs $4997). (prices updated on Oct, 2018). That is a 12.5X price difference! In other words, ASM costs 1250% more than PAC, or PAC costs 92% less than ASM.
Money-back guarantee for life. This far outperformed the 30-day ASM look-in period, which teases you with inadequate crumbs to get you through the 30-day threshold of no return. PAC, on the other hand, has been in business for over ten years and has a fantastic support crew that stands 100% behind what they claim.
I have no regrets about joining PAC nearly four years ago. I currently make a full-time living by selling on Amazon, which is only one component of a wider picture of developing a multi-faceted business with different income streams that includes, but is not limited to, private labeling your own items. Check out the Proven Amazon Course if you’re serious about starting your own business with genuine tools and assistance from a community that values integrity over hype. You may also join the free My Silent Team/Proven Amazon Course Facebook group to observe and connect with the incredible PAC community before committing.
ASM and PAC Comparison
The video below provides a fast overview of the most recent release of ASM8 and PAC, as well as the most recent changes as of October 2017.
October 2017 updates:
The following major modules have been added to the Proven Amazon Course:
The Proven Amazon Course now includes Proven Private Label 2.0 (PPL2.0) (PAC). In other words, when you buy PAC, you automatically receive PPL2.0 for free!
“How to Import from China and Many Other Countries,” 3rd edition, has been uploaded to PAC. This article contains a wealth of important information on how to procure, ship, and verify certificates, among other things.
Update (February 2017): Proven Private Label 2.0 has recently been released (Since of October 17, 2017, please do not purchase PPL2.0 separately as it is now included in PAC). I’ve begun the course and can tell you that it’s extremely comparable to what I do. The majority of my sales are “Private Label the Easy Method” items, including my first and oldest private label product, which is now ranked Top 1.9% in Beauty, and another easy way SKU, which is ranked Top 0.014855% in Industrial & Scientific! One thing to keep in mind: all of the “Proven” modules are first released as individual courses. For those who wish to acquire them right away, they may be purchased individually. If they are connected to Amazon selling, they will be added to the Proven Amazon Course roughly 6 months after its introduction. This means that if you purchase the Proven Amazon Course, you will receive free upgrades indefinitely, making PAC an excellent bargain with course content that is continually being enhanced and updated.
April 2016 update:
I just submitted my income tax, and it’s the biggest I’ve ever paid – owing to the revenue I now generate as an entrepreneur, which began with PAC! I also paid $60,000 off my mortgage and purchased a brand new vehicle in cash (if you know anything about vehicle costs in Singapore, you know that’s a significant sum).
Update (30 August 2015): I just finished writing my Proven Amazon Course Review, which includes a snapshot of its contents.
Update (October 2018): The Proven Amazon Course (PAC) has been significantly upgraded and is now known as PAC 2.0. It is a massive overhaul that incorporates both the material and the user interface and structure to make it much more user-friendly, which was the primary problem of the previous PAC owing to the massive volume of content. More information may be found in my Proven Amazon Course review.
An uninvited statement from someone who purchased both ASM and PAC + PPL:
“We purchased PPL yesterday and are quite pleased with it. To demonstrate our confidence in Jim Cockrum and Tom Freeman, we terminated our Amazing Selling Machine program yesterday while we were still inside the 30-day refund period. We would not have done this if we did not have complete faith in Jim and Tom. We are looking forward to getting to know you all and having a true support team to aid us with things when we need it as we advance through this… But I can tell you straight away that getting instruction from Jim and Tom on developing numerous channels to sell the identical private label goods via Amazon, EBay, and your own ECommerce site was one of the key reasons we made the transition. In addition to the other methods stated by Tom in the introduction video. Amazing Selling Machines is exclusively dedicated to selling your product on Amazon. As Tom explains in the chart in his introduction video, combining numerous marketing channels to sell your items can significantly increase your sales volume compared to relying on just one channel, I hope that helps.”
