DescriptionThe COVID-19 epidemic is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. There are more questions than there are answers. The delivery of care seemed to have been flipped on its head in an instant. Many of us are perplexed and terrified by the new PPE requirements and how to safely care for patients. And there is a lot of confusion and misinformation out there concerning coronavirus transmission mechanisms and infection control guidelines.
Learn from an expert on the job! Barry Inman, a CDC/Public Health Epidemiologist, will provide the most recent data on epidemiology, transmission, patient risk categories, and co-morbidities. What we know about this virus is changing at a rapid pace.
As busy as you’ve been on the front lines, this will be well spent time. During these trying times, you must recognize what is safe and essential. Safety in terms of what is required for patients, but also to safeguard yourself and your family.
