Scott Mikesell, DO, FACC, FSCAI, talks Pre-Operative Evaluations and Chest Pain.
Dr. Mikesell works with us at St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates.
Dr. Mikesell is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, endovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, and adult echocardiography, among other specialties. He is also an expert in cardiac CT.
Dr. Mikesell is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention, and the Society for Vascular Medicine, as well as the Minnesota Mission: Lifeline STEMI Project.
Dr. Mikesell is the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Director at St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates, as well as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth Medical School.
Because of the intricacy of the heart and the high intensity of interventional cardiology, Dr. Mikesell opted to specialize in cardiology. He bases his practice on providing his patients with the most thorough and cutting-edge care possible. Dr. Mikesell believes in the importance of prevention and urges all patients to make heart-healthy decisions.
Dr. Mikesell grew up in the Twin Cities and has always liked Duluth. He opted to work in Duluth because of the gorgeous scenery and family-friendly environment. Dr. Mikesell and his wife are the parents of two boys and a dog. Dr. Mikesell likes mountain biking, athletics, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
