DescriptionYour treatment with lower back pain can help clients reclaim their life, allowing them to enjoy the things that chronic pain had taken away from them.
However, the iliopsoas, the most common cause of low back or pelvic discomfort, can resemble a variety of back and hip dysfunctions, making it difficult to pinpoint the source of your customers’ problem.
Furthermore, the iliopsoas is a tough muscle to palpate, making you cautious and unclear about your treatment approach. Finally, you may find yourself heading down the incorrect therapeutic road, feeling discouraged and concerned that your client may have to undergo surgery that you might have prevented.
Feel your confidence increase and your abilities polish as you learn new, evidence-based techniques for releasing the iliopsoas and relieving pain in as few as 4 to 6 sessions. Using particular assessment tests and measures, you may identify the source of the problem the first time, allowing you to alleviate the pain and restore function more quickly.
Using case studies and demonstration lab time, you’ll end this recording feeling confident in addressing low back and pelvic pain in your clients.
Peggy Lamb, LMT, has worked as a manual therapist for over 30 years. During that time, she has effectively treated several low back and pelvic dysfunctions by releasing the iliopsoas, giving her clients a new lease on life.
