Michele L. Neil-Sherwood, DO, FACOI, has been in practice since 2002. She and her husband, Dr. Mark, co-founded the Functional Medical Institute in Tulsa, OK, which is whole-person focused and result driven, taking into account each individual’s unique needs. The goal is to achieve the best level of function and wellbeing possible and then maintain it for life through a multidisciplinary collaborative approach. Dr. Michele is board qualified in Internal Medicine as well as Sports Medicine. She has also completed a number of fellowships in functional medicine. She is also an expert in diet, supplements, exercise prescription, stress management, and hormone balancing. Dr. Michele has a diverse fitness and athletic background that includes martial arts (brown belt in Judo, black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do), strength training/bodybuilding (multiple state and national titles), the Russian Kettlebell System (RKC Certified, CK-FMS Certified, Primal Move Certified), and yoga methods.
Drs. M&M, as they are known, travel the world speaking to companies, organizations, wellness experts, and churches on living in health and receiving healing. The duo is the co-hosts of a weekly television show that airs on three networks. Their unique skill set allows patients to genuinely grasp and feel wellbeing. They are the authors of the Amazon best-selling book, The Quest for Wellness, as well as the soon-to-be-released new book, Fork Your Diet, which is, by the way, available now in a special pre-release edition. They are frequently seen on major news stations such as ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and CNN. They also contribute to the Huffington Post and have their own site, sherwoodwellness.tv.
