Michael Reiman, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, ATC, FAAOMPT, CSCS, teaches in Duke University’s musculoskeletal curriculum as well as the manual therapy elective. In 2007, he obtained his doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Dr. Reiman is a Manual Therapy Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapists, a USA Weightlifting level 1 coach, and a USA Track and Field level 1 coach, in addition to his qualifications as an Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Dr. Reiman co-wrote Functional Testing in Human Performance, the sole textbook on functional testing, is co-writing a book on kinesiology, and has produced eight book chapters on orthopedic and sports-related themes. He has also published several publications and serves as a reviewer for a number of orthopedic and sports magazines. He continues to work clinically on a variety of sports and orthopedic issues. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the United States Weightlifting Association, and the United States Track and Field Association.
