DescriptionWhen asked what they desire from sex, most customers would say pleasure and intimacy. But it isn’t usually what people focus on during sex. Instead, they are preoccupied with how they appear, how they sound or smell, what their partner is thinking, and so on—and this is what frequently leads to sexual issues. In this recording, we’ll look at how therapists unknowingly support their clients’ self-defeating sexual narratives, why “sex addiction” isn’t a useful paradigm for long-term healing, and how our usual treatments to sexual difficulties may result in greater communication but nothing else.
