There are contradictory views in our culture regarding the best way to cope with psychological difficulties. What is a psychological disorder, and what does fundamental psychological transformation entail? J. Krishnamurti, physicist Professor David Bohm, psychiatrist Dr. John H. Hidley, and biologist Dr. Rupert Sheldrake participate in four debates. These recordings are ideal for mental health workers who are frustrated by the fragmentation generated by several schools of psychotherapy thinking.

Regarding the Actor
JIDDU KRISHNAMURTI was born in Madanapalle, south India, on May 12, 1895. From 1929 until his death in 1986, he traversed the world, speaking to big crowds on the spur of the moment. He held discussions with religious leaders, scientists, academics, authors, psychologists, computer specialists, and others from a variety of backgrounds about their everyday lives. His speeches and discussions have been collected and published in over fifty volumes, and have been translated into an equal number of languages. Think on These Things, Education and the Meaning of Life, The Awakening of Intelligence, and The First and Last Freedom are among his books.
Krishnamurti claimed to be unattached to any caste, nationality, or religion, and to no tradition. He said that with self-knowledge, one may liberate himself of all fear, conditioning, authority, and dogma, resulting in order and psychological mutation. He contended that the conflict-torn world could not be transformed into a life of goodness, love, and compassion through any political, social, or economic strategies, but only through this mutation in individuals brought about by their own observation, without the intervention of any guru or organized religion.
