Success tales have never failed to enlighten many people’s battling spirit. Everyone enjoys hearing these picture-perfect stories, whether they admit it or not.
We all enjoy how they light a fire in our souls and inspire us to push ourselves farther. And seeing ourselves heading in the same direction as these victorious people is tremendously inspiring.
In fact, it occasionally transforms our mood from ‘I’m terrified to do it. What if I don’t succeed? I detest failures.’ emotion to the thinking of ‘I want to try it. I don’t mind how many times I fail as long as I give it my all. I know I can do it! If they can do it, then so can I! I will do it!’. It’s as though there are no obstacles that may prevent us from reaching the peak.
However, when a powerful breeze threatens to throw out the torch’s flame, some people’s inspiration fades in an instant. This is when doubt, blame, and remorse enter the picture. As a result, we tend to mistrust our skills, wondering, “How could those jubilant individuals ascend the mountain top that rapidly while I am moving so slow?!”.
We just return to the success tales we used to hear.
This is the reality loop in which individuals who want to be successful perceive success stories as a pattern of easy going roads and quiet rivers, not recognizing that these stories are true.
In actual reality, not all stories end happily ever after.
It’s not like reading a book and skipping some chapters to get to the pleasant and exciting ones. Instead, it’s more about deciphering the tensions and why the character reached such a peak. The fact is that we create our own life stories, and relying solely on encouragement from others will never help us progress. Yes, they can motivate us, but in the end, no one else can push us every minute of every single day but ourselves.
People who question why others move quickly while they move slowly in reaching the mountain top or the hill of success are literally going slowly towards the steps they may do to modify and better their own tales.
Reality check: taking tremendous action is the road to success, because ideas and an optimistic frame of view are never enough. Nothing is difficult to attain with the right combination of patience, focus, and commitment!
‘If you talk about it, it’s a dream,’ says Anthony Robbins. It’s a possibility if you think about it. It’s real if you schedule it.’ So the decision is always yours. All of these lovely notions had been implanted in the mind of Frank Kern, a renowned American entrepreneur with a salary of about $1.4 million and an estimated net worth of $28 million, and the guy who turned his dull history collection into a success diary!
For those unfamiliar with the name, Frank Kern is one of the most powerful and fulfilled individuals to have thrived in the glitzy world of business.
Aside from his characteristic blonde surfer-style appearance since 2012, he is also well-known for his extraordinary entrepreneurial ability and business attractiveness, as well as his one-of-a-kind chosen industry: internet commerce. He is, indeed, an online marketer. He is also a business consultant, a motivational speaker, and one of the top business gurus.
But, before all the smiles, brilliant spotlights, acclaim, plaudits, and standing ovations, Frank Kern never anticipated that, after years and years of hard labor, he would receive such attention today.
“The entire world has recognized you as a widely-known entrepreneur, a direct response marketer, and a very spectacular centerpiece of the business of internet marketing for more than 20 years,” he said in an interview with Hawk Mikado, the founder of Funnel Magazine. When did you discover you needed people’s attention in your field, particularly internet marketing?”
“Well, it started when I had a door-to-door selling job for a credit card processing system in Macon, GA,” Frank explained. In terms of social contact, I could honestly say I was the team’s lowest-scoring member. I didn’t appreciate getting hit with rejection practically every day. These two criteria, among many others, forced me to discover another approach to sell to people without experiencing personal rejection and without being perceived as an introvert. So I had a fantastic idea: why not hide behind a computer all day while selling millions of items to customers and get millions of approvals? Since then, I’ve been interested in selling goods online.”.
When he realized that selling things on the internet was a far better method to profit, he began developing concepts and improving items to entice potential consumers.
He explored what people need, what they want and want, and whatever he thought may be profitable. He even listened to Anthony Robbins CDs to increase his knowledge and wisdom, and he studied a lot of business books to improve his hidden abilities.
He conducted several web searches. One example is the high desire from parrot owners to train their birds to communicate.
When Frank hired a writer from Elance for $650 to encrypt the book ‘Teach Your Parrot to Talk,’ he put his money at jeopardy. Fortunately, this book provided him with a monthly income of around $3000.
He was astounded by the results, and it was the ‘boom’ he was hoping for to turn the tables. He never ceased learning and experimenting. He also desired additional successes. He did the same thing: he put his money, time, and effort into something that might not work out well.
He concentrated on another sort of pet and was able to create a course for over 600 different dog breeds. He researched amusing facts about dogs again and discovered that these animals may respond to positive reinforcement.
Then he utilized the same book but on various websites for all breeds. His strategy may appear to be an uncomplicated sales technique, yet it netted him $1,000,000 in 2005 and 2006.
Furthermore, several of Frank Kern’s products, such as Mass Control, Mass Conversion, List Control, Screw Google System, and so on, increased his market value. Another factor that contributed to his success was the StomperNet debut, which earned him a total of $18.3 million in a single day.
After all of his trials, tribulations, and epiphanies, he decided to share his expertise and experience with other young business people who aspired to be big-time entrepreneurs. He began instructing individuals on how to make money online.
It’s no surprise that his name has been splashed throughout social media platforms, ads, and countless magazine pieces. “A lot of people aspire to be like you, a really excellent businessman,” Hawk said in the same interview. “How can you genuinely run a profitable and productive business?”
Mr. Kern said, “For me, to focus on what’s working and to dismiss what’s genuinely not, would make things lucrative in an easier way. But, of course, they won’t know what’s working unless they search and investigate. Look, many things that can be viewed online quickly capture people’s interest, because there are many amazing notions out there that may also work for them. However, it occasionally conceals the truth that these notions may not work for them and, as a result, they will lose everything they have spent. So, I recommend that you just look at one of the 9 million items that best fits the criteria of the most likely thing to sell and the aspect that has to be improved. In other words, those who wish to make money online must ensure that they are spending and risking their money wisely, and that if they are not, they can quickly get back on track. Anyway, one of the first things my colleagues and I did and continue to do in order to be extremely excellent businesses in the internet market was to clear things out. Following that, we stopped doing a million things and instead concentrated on what was already working. By the way, this is exactly what we educate our consumers in the continuity program. On the other side, I encourage individuals to be daring enough to experiment and bet. The business environment is inherently full of trial and error situations. Don’t be afraid. So that when they locate the most lucrative item to sell and the method for selling it, it would be simpler for them to focus and strive.”
“Awesome!” Hawk exclaimed. I realize how vital guts and dedication are in business, and how much they may assist a businessman work on successful things. It’s an important step forward.”
Speaking about failures, Frank Kern had also experienced a number of bad incidents in his life. When a flood wrecked his property in Macon, GA, he was heartbroken, almost losing all he owned.
What’s more, guess what? The disaster turned him from a wealthy guy to a poor man. He had little alternative but to relocate into a single-wide trailer in Milledgeville, Georgia, with plywood floors, a peach crate table, and a mattress on the floor to sleep on at night. In addition, he couldn’t afford heat or hot water for his little mobile house since he couldn’t pay the gas price.
However, he was fortunate enough to get recruited as a service worker on a Greek fast food restaurant, which paid him $4.25 per hour.
He lived in the slums for a while until he got a job working for one of his relatives in a used car lot and utilized it to get back on track.
Frank believes that if you limit your comfortability to a limited period of time, you will not become accustomed to difficult situations, and you must confront the reality that uncomfortable situations will follow you everywhere you go in the real world. If you want to reach your objectives, don’t be scared to face the prospect of pain, such as pressure, failure, stress, disappointments, and so on; otherwise, it will be more difficult to go forward. “The wonderful thing about Failures, Stress, Disappointments, and Mistakes is that it helps individuals gradually overcome fear and simply give it their all,” he stated. Furthermore, these items can help us generate more sophisticated concepts and educate us how to progress in other areas. Believe me, I know. I’ve been there. Frank recounted his story of making a significant error in his job in August 2008, which he saw as a blessing in disguise.
“I remembered having problems with authority a long time ago, when the Federal Trade Commission sued me in 2003,” he stated. I was a member of the ERA board of directors. Our goal was to mentor and teach marketers. I recall working on a certain project. We were excited to see how we could create a gadget, similar to a black box, that would deliver accurate information to our clients, as well as how marketers could manage their businesses. Everything was in good condition, and we were completely focused on it. The only problem was that I had no notion there was a Federal Trade Commission, and I was completely unaware of their advertising restrictions. They filed a lawsuit against me. It cost me a lot of money. I’m not sure I’d cross that line again. But, oddly, I might say that aside from my wife and my 3 gorgeous children, getting sued was one of the nicest things that had happened to me since it acted as an eye opener.”.
Hawk commented, “Wow! But first, a word about Kartra. We recently found that you have now moved to Kartra. What was its importance in your professional life? Can you kindly provide a brief tale about it? “.
“Yeah, yeah,” Frank said. Discovering the possibilities of this Kartra thing is one of my examples of me studying numerous things before focusing on one thing in particular and simply adding on top of what works. Basically, I was still looking for new goods to add to my list of potentially profitable ones. And I first witnessed my great friends, Andy Jenkins and Hector Youngway, spending billions of dollars to construct Kartra. As a result, I realized that many individuals are prepared to spend a lot of money on such a pastime. So I persuaded them to join me in launching Kartra onto the market, and they miraculously consented. Then, with Kartra, we were able to construct a firm where clients could not only take on another automated platform, but also where they could just push certain buttons and everything would be built for them, such as page templates and email automations. It ended out quite amazing, however I needed to engage an in-house guy, paid roughly $30,000 a month, to fully-operate the application for me.”.
“Yeah, I also got to play with it,” Hawk explained. I also liked the style of the clicking buttons since it brought everything together. All I needed to do was start filling in the spaces. Fantastic!”
“Yes, it was,” Frank said. And now, the good news is that we’re putting more effort into improving the app. In reality, I performed surveys regarding people’s troubles and their ideas of where they wanted to be, as well as anything related to our organization that may alleviate their burden. We also investigated and observed aspects of our app that may cause confusion for clients. I was moved by the fact that ‘texting stuff or filling out forms’ was too much of a pain for some of them.
Fortunately, we improved the program to the point where it could automatically fill in the gaps on the copy for the clients. Surprisingly, the concept got more appealing to people, and we are looking forward to refining it till it is of the highest quality. Overall, I’d want to offer one thing I learnt through this experience. You know, selling things is simple. It’s only an issue of providing folks things that would make them happy and then, promote and sell them goods that would make them happier.”.
“Right,” Hawk responded. But you must have done a lot of rigorous activities and stressful techniques to build such a great and long-lasting firm. Is this your secret to launching a $10 million company? I wonder how many individuals you had recruited in order to work and accomplish this alongside you.”.
“Well, I feel that the actual secret to success is to get out of your comfort zone and work like hell,” Frank said. On the contrary, we don’t do anything out of the ordinary. We simply keep working really hard together. I have roughly five full-time people working for me. We are now fixing one key product, the continuity program, and have one basic approach that works. That’s all. For me, acquiring a lot of individuals is entirely immaterial”.
“Amazing!” said Hawk. To me, that makes logic. By the way, I’m curious about your continuity program. Why did you create the software, and who was it designed for? Tell me about it.”.
“We opted to sell the program mostly because we discovered it to be quite profitable,” Frank explained. It was one chance for the firm and I to grow the number of our clients and choose the targeted offerings. We designed the curriculum for folks who are already in the process of figuring out their business. I held video conferences every other Wednesday and live seminars twice a week, in addition to mailing newsletters, campaigns, templates, and so on. What we did was offer them with brief and to-the-point information on examining nuances of their businesses, focusing on certain specific parts that require the most effective strategy. Everything revolved around simple growth. Furthermore, we established the Private Client Group, in which we advise entrepreneurs in examining what is going on in their firms and determining whether there are any issues that we can settle. Thus, to observe and attempt thousands of probable items and strategies that can fix the business itself.”.
Frank Kern thinks that we write our own life stories. Each of us is given a pen and a piece of paper, or the opportunity to choose the type of story we want to tell the world. We have the ability to accomplish or be anything. We may also let other people’s success stories to influence our life. We can encourage others to contribute thoughts. But we can never ask someone else to compose the entire storyline of our own life tale. Only a person can assist himself, and he can only help himself if he begins to turn his words into deeds. Nothing is out of the question. It is you and your perseverance that will propel you to victory. Now it’s up to you to decide what type of tale you want to tell the world.
Hawk: Hello, everyone! I’m Hawk Mikado, the publisher of Funnel Magazine, and I’m here with Frank Kern, who is working out of his studio. Thank you very much for having me here today.
Frank: Thank you for having me, for coming, and for having me in your studio.
Hawk: So you’ve been an entrepreneur, a direct response marketer, and one of the bright pillars of the internet marketing industry for the past 20 years.
Frank: For a long time, yes.
Hawk: So, how did you get into this?
Frank: Complete failure. I used to be a door-to-door salesperson. I am a level nine million introvert; I did a brain scan evaluation at a clinic and received the lowest possible score on social interaction. “Dude, this is literally, you can’t get much worse than this,” they said. As a result, I wasn’t particularly adept at door-to-door sales. I began researching how I could hide behind a computer and not have to confront personal rejection every single day, and that was the end of it.
Hawk: So your introversion enabled you to flourish as an online marketer, which is fantastic.
Frank: It didn’t make me excel, but it did get me interested in it, you know? Yeah, I think my stubborn tenacity helped me get somewhat competent at it.
Hawk: It states here that you’re planning to make 2018 your most lucrative year ever. How are you going about it?
Frank: More of what works and less of what doesn’t. So it’s quite simple, especially online, to become completely sidetracked by things. I’m on the same list as everyone else, and everyone’s email content is so excellent that you’re like, “Dude, I’ve got to try this thing,” you know? So you walk down the rabbit hole with the new item, and some of them work, while others don’t. And what we chose to do as a firm was to concentrate on a single item, our membership, which we’ve had since 2016. That resulted in last year being our most lucrative year ever, and we put everything up to be largely self-managing. Now, the continuity just works, and all of the funnels operate. Who knew that this entire funnel concept really works quite well. We added to what was already operating. Our most enlightening experience as a firm was to quit trying a million things and instead focus on what has done really, very well and then execute that with extreme laser concentration.
Hawk: So you recently made the move to Kartra.
Yes, Frank.
Hawk: Can you tell me more about your experience with that?
Frank: I’m obviously prejudiced because I own stock in Kartra. So I was incredibly lucky, and the guys established Kartra. Andy Jenkins and Hector Youngway are friends of mine, and they spent about $4 million or so establishing Kartra before I came in and said, “Hey, I’ll teach you how to actually take this to market, if you’ll give me a stake of your firm.” And they magically agreed. As a result, my Kartra review is quite prejudiced. But integrating with them has been really simple since what we accomplished as a company with Kartra was to make it more than just another automation platform. We wanted to develop it such that you could come in, hit the create campaign button, and it would construct the page templates, email automation, and everything for you. That, before to that, I was an Infusionsoft user, and while they’re a terrific company, I found it to be very, extremely tough to use, maybe because I’m not so bright. I needed an in-house employee who cost roughly $30,000 per month to administer that application for me. So with Kartra, I don’t have to do that; it’s fantastic.
Hawk: As an Affiliate Marketer, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with it. I like how you can literally simply click in and it fills everything out for you, and you just fill in the spaces. So, if that’s your plan, great.
Frank: It was, really. And we’re putting more effort into it. In fact, one of the things Frank needs to accomplish this week is create lessons for a book funnel. So someone could just walk in and push the button, and the way the book funnel pages, invite sequences, and webinar stuff are constructed, that will just continue to grow more sophisticated. I’ve taken a bunch of these questionnaires. I originally conducted a poll of this type in 2006, I believe, asking individuals what their biggest problem was in getting to where they wanted to go. I felt overwhelmed, and it got more particular to being overwhelmed with text things, you know because text stuff is a headache, no matter what platform you’re using, it’s always a hassle. “Hey, if we can make it function, someone can push a button,” we reasoned. It’s fantastic to get rid of that difficulty, and then the added ability of filling in the gaps on the copy, I mean, you really can, but you have to have some talent with your copy, but taking away a lot of the learning curve really made it more desirable for people, and it worked very well.
Hawk: How can you make a $10 million-plus firm with a team of only five full-time employees work for you?
Frank: This firm is not rated a ten. This company, in conjunction with other companies, I have pieces of, but this company you’re referring to…last year I think we did seven and a half, give or take, and we don’t do a lot, I don’t mean we don’t do a lot of work but we don’t do a lot of extraneous activity, we have one core product which is this continuity program, we have one core process that sells that, of all things a funnel and then As a result, having a large group of individuals is unneeded.
Hawk: So, could you tell me more about your continuity program? How did you come up with it, and why did you decide to go with it?
