Goals of the Session
Discuss how osteopathic concepts may be used to headache care.
Describe how treating key body locations might help the pathophysiology of headaches.
To reduce headache symptoms, use a treatment plan that includes basic osteopathic manipulative therapy procedures.
As a physician, learn how to bill for osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT).
The American Osteopathic Association has accredited the North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association has designated this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credit and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Dr. Gish became the Associate Dean for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Integration and Associate Professor in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in June of 2017. In May 2019, he was appointed Program Director for the Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Gish graduated with honors from Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy in 1990 and worked as a pharmacist for three years before enrolling at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNTHSCFW-TCOM).
