The #1 Reason Agencies Fail: Revenue Yo-Yos and Low Quality Clients…
There’s no doubting that the agency industry is thriving…
With millions of new companies being launched each year, the need for marketing and other services to assist firms in growing is on the increase – and shows no signs of abating anytime soon.
And as demand grows, so does the appeal of the agency model.
It’s no surprise, though; apart from demand, the agency company has very low barriers to entry (you don’t need a lot of cash to get started), and entrepreneurs can be up and running in a pretty short period of time (you can set up your service offer and start selling almost on the same day – the same cannot be said for physical product businesses).
However, just because there is a demand for a service and you are capable in providing it does not guarantee success.
Running an agency is similar to running any other business.
To succeed, you must have a sufficient number of clients (sales), and these clients must be the correct sort of clients (otherwise you may run into operational problems).
The typical way of getting leads for an agency has also included a lot of “hustling.”
Calling from a distance.
The doorbell rings.
Networking.
Obtaining press coverage and prizes.
I had all of these thoughts when I initially started my agency six years ago.
No one was prepared to pay for Facebook ad services at the time – it was essentially an intern job.
And because I was headquartered in New Zealand, at the bottom of the planet, it was difficult to find local firms that could afford the fees I required.
But then I had an epiphany.
If I can create leads for clients via advertisements, why can’t I do the same for my own business?
So I spent the next year experimenting and creating funnels (there was nothing of the sort for agencies back then and everyone in the industry held their cards really close to their chest).
When I finally got it – BOOM!
In two months, I moved from being a solitary freelancer earning $10k per month to a team of seven earning $80k per month! The best part was that I was dealing with people from all around the world who respected my services.
The next thing I know, everyone in my class is wondering how I did it.
So I began to share the system – everything from creating the pipeline to putting up traffic advertisements and the sales call procedure.
And have subsequently helped over 700 organizations scale up (of which 32 have already hit seven figure revenues).
As time passed, I realized that, while the automated funnel approach was fantastic at generating quick scale and growth in the business, it was risky to rely entirely on one source of leads (FB may change one item and your funnel might halt for a month or two… it happens).
As a result, I created a second lead pipeline for the agency. One that serves as a buffer and backup.
But here’s the catch: I despised cold calling.
I despised networking.
My LinkedIn password was often slipping my mind.
As a result, this supplementary lead generating approach has to be compatible with my primary abilities.
Because we have total control over our own lead pipelines, my business can now charge up to $25K for contracts (FB ad campaigns and funnels). We can turn down bad leads while accepting prize clients.
We don’t rely on a single source, and everything we do draws on our own unique qualities.
Everyone is unique.
Some of you will already have team members. Some of you may be working remotely with contractors, while others will be handling all of the job yourselves.
Some of you will excel in sales, while others will excel at presenting and teaching.
The trick is to tap into a system that is unique to your company’s DNA.
That is exactly what the Incubator is.
A strategy for not just scaling up quickly using automated funnels, but also assuring long-term and sustained success with a secondary lead generating approach that plays to your strengths.
So you don’t have to deal with income yo yos…
Or lower your rates…
So you don’t have to say yes to leads you don’t like (simply because you need the money)….
Finally, progress to the point where you can begin to be the owner rather than the “do-it-all” guy…
If you’re willing to commit to implementing and turning up in your business as needed, here’s my pledge to you:
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for personal development. Not only will I teach you the scaling tactics, all the paperwork you’ll need to get started so you’re not scrambling when customers come in, and assist with your marketing and leads, but I’ll also make sure I look after your attitude.
We all know that if you don’t believe you can make something work, no matter what program or course you invest in, it won’t work.
This is what distinguishes this course from others.
