DescriptionStan Tatkin, PsyD, MFT – CC17 Keynote 04 – Affairs, Addictions, and Deception: The PACT Approach –
The most typical obstacle for a couple therapist is the issue of adultery, addictions, and lying. Attendees will discover numerous ways for identifying cheating, lying, and substance and non-substance misuse early in the course of couple therapy during this one-hour session. We shall examine these behaviors from both a psychobiological and a neurobiological standpoint. However, detection is only one of the difficulties that the couple therapist faces. The second option is intervention. PACT provides a distinct approach to coping with infidelity, addictions, and dishonesty. Attendees will receive a full introduction to these strategies as well as takeaways that they can immediately apply in their own practice.
Objectives of Education:
To be able to identify at least three strategies for detecting dishonesty, affairs, and addictions.
Being able to use at least three interventions to cope with betrayals
should be able to articulate and distinguish various levels of treachery and deception
