Footprintings is an innovative three-dimensional therapy concept. In this work, nine distinct color sets of Footprintings are used as tools for a patient to bookmark, draw, trace, and study interior experiences and altering states of awareness as they occur in the Present Moment. When a patient selects a color Footprinting to represent an aspect of self-experience, places them on the ground, and then stands in them, the postural shifts, body experience, shifting perspectives, and associations that emerge from this positioning can lead to valuable insights, learning opportunities, and new perspectives. This three-pronged approach provides patients with the direct chance to learn more about the unique mechanism of internal communication between Self-States, as well as actual tools for restructuring, mending, and building new and supportive internal alliances. We will provide an introduction to the theory and practice of Footprintings in this session. Following that, attendees will have the opportunity to witness and/or participate in a three-dimensional practical.
Objectives of Education:
Describe two ways Footprintings can be utilized to improve our understanding of Self-States in the Present Moment.
Describe how Footprintings can improve internal communication among Self States.
Discuss one method for using Footprintings to mend and forge new internal linkages between Self-States.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
