DescriptionDescription:
Investigate the role of quiet in the hypnotic and therapeutic processes. Our trip will begin with a study of organized and unstructured quiet, as well as how they emerge and may be used. It goes on to give an overview of studies on silence in psychotherapy as well as insights in neuroscience that help explain why silence is such an important component of good trance-formational processes. Attendees will participate in activities meant to increase their awareness of the critical role that silence plays in healing, allowing for the intentional formulation of strategic treatments that use quiet hypnotically to address a variety of clinical conditions.
Objectives of Education:
Explain the difference between organized and unstructured quiet and show two techniques to use structured silence in the hypnotic process.
Explain how silence may be used to create relationships, both between the therapist and the client, and what tactics can be employed to support this process.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
