The emphasis of this session is on simulated role-play demonstrations that demonstrate the practical use of the WDEP method of reality therapy. Client self-evaluation, the heart of reality therapy, is emphasized, as is the inclusion of key Ericksonian ideas such as utilization. Participants will learn about research studies that validate the use of reality therapy, as well as practical and new concepts that may be used right away on the job. Handouts that can be photocopied will be given.
Objectives of Education:
List four human behavior motivators.
Describe the interaction of two Ericksonian concepts with the WDEP system.
Examine an overview of two research findings that support reality therapy.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
