Dale E. Bertram is a Marriage and Family Therapy Professor at the Department of Marriage and Family Studies. Dale’s approach to teaching and clinical supervision is to encourage students to broaden their ability to apply theory in the real world. He also appreciates assisting pupils in increasing their comfort level while dealing with complex and demanding issues. Dale’s principal research focus is on the rhetorical features of family therapy discourse, and he has produced numerous journal articles in this field. Every year, he looks forward to collaborating with a group of students on the “rhetoric of family therapy” study project. Dale also does research on online education, online counseling, and online supervision. He’s written for Family Process, Contemporary Family Therapy, Family Therapy Magazine, and other publications. In addition, he is nearing the end of writing a book about Ericksonian clinical supervision. Dale routinely gives presentations at state, national, and worldwide conferences, as well as online workshops and seminars.
