Raising children may be one of life’s most fulfilling endeavors. Additionally, it may be the most irritating. Because their brains are still maturing, children learn in ways that often escape our notice. Subtle cues like making eye contact or getting up and moving around the room can have a big impact on your child’s communication and development. In only 50 minutes, you can learn from the “Parenting Doctor” why and how to handle tantrums, what it means when kids start asking “why,” and how the timing of your words may have just as much of an impact as their content. Dr. Ann Corwin, who has a Ph.D. in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, has worked in the field of education and consulting for over 25 years, focusing on issues related to parenting and child growth. She has written extensively for academic and lay publications alike, and her work can be found in media outlets covering topics related to parenting (such as parental training programs and broadcast programs). There are extras like a lengthy chat with Ann and a Q&A with the crowd.
