DescriptionMany ethical continuing education programs are general in character. Many continuing education ethics seminars, especially when a legal presenter is involved, emphasize risk management measures to the detriment of the attendees.
This program is unique. Rather than disregarding clinical difficulties, this curriculum investigates how clinical and ethical issues impact the daily practice of mental health professionals in Georgia. This distinct combination of clinical and ethical issues enables a more meaningful understanding and interpretation of the principles that govern mental health practice.
These objectives are accomplished by the presenter’s experience and engaging approach, Allan M. Tepper, J.D., Psy.D. Unlike other people with combined degrees in psychology and law, Dr. Tepper has an active psychological practice as well as an active legal practice. He works as a clinician and represents mental health professionals who are facing legal issues. Dr. Tepper gives an extraordinarily unique viewpoint to the practical knowledge of ethics in this regard.
These objectives are also met by the handbook used in this seminar. The items in the handbook are not generic in nature. All of the written materials are Georgia-specific.
It might be tough to hear the words “Trust me” while dealing with an attorney. However, for this recording, we do state, “Trust us!!” We assure you will not be disappointed.
