“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail,” they say. And quite deservedly so.
If you haven’t spent at least 1-3 months planning (depending on the scope of your goal), you aren’t ready to begin, in my opinion. I’ve watched several entrepreneurs dive headfirst into product development. When they get a Startup Idea, the first thing they do is establish a website. Keep your cool.
I agree that documentation is tedious. But you won’t be able to make your idea a reality until everything you’ve thought in your head is in black and white in front of you. You must define the key elements of your Startup so that you clearly understand where you stand apart from the competition and why your customers should buy from you rather than someone else.
Consider, plan, and then act. That is the correct course of action.
Your value proposition, also known as your USP (Unique Selling Proposition), is the aspect of your product that separates it from rivals in a positive way.
