Volume 14 – Five Approaches
Bruce Lee has what he called his “Five Ways of Attack.” One of the most significant aspects of an assault is closing the distance on the opponent and striking without getting hurt. We can achieve precisely that if we use Bruce Lee’s Five Ways of Attack as our fighting technique! Although they have always existed, Bruce Lee was the first to classify them and build on their potential. The first is SDA, which stands for Simple Direct Attack. SAA, or Simple Angulated Attack, is also included in this group. The second is ABC, which stands for Attack By Combination. The third is PIA, which stands for Progressive Indirect Attack. The fourth is HIA, which stands for Hand Immobilization Attack (trapping hands). The sixth is ABD, which stands for Attack By Drawing. Bruce Lee taught these five methods of attack to karate legend Joe Lewis, who then used them effectively in point tournament and full contact fights. Although Jeet Kune Do is not a sport, the ideas and concepts may be applied to compete.

JEET KUNE DO COMPLETE ORIGINAL
This instructional video series on Bruce Lee’s Original Jeet Kune Do took a long time to develop. My objective was to provide the most detailed and comprehensive handbook to training in Bruce Lee’s fighting tactics ever published. This twenty-volume series is the outcome. It was initially shot on VHS, but was subsequently transferred to DVD after VHS became obsolete. The subject exhibited and taught in these films, on the other hand, will never be out of date. All three of Bruce Lee’s major schools in the United States are represented by the curriculum taught and displayed in these films (Seattle, Oakland and L.A. Chinatown). It is by far the most comprehensive exposition of this subject, and it will most likely remain such for the rest of time! It reflects my life’s effort in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do, and it will be remembered for all time as my contribution to preserving Bruce Lee’s original teaching, training, and fighting skills. I hope you find this information useful (and entertaining), and that you may learn anything from it that will help you or a loved one save their lives one day! If that occurs, it has accomplished its role! – Lamar M. Davis II, Sifu
