Demonstration 1 L: 1h38 2 L: 1h34 Aiki Expo Prehistory Project: Mr Stanley Pranin’s Aiki Expo is one of the most prominent international projects aimed at popularizing martial arts and providing a platform for communication and training between notable masters of BI and simple pupils.
Until recently, masters invited to the Aiki Expo were either Japanese – representatives of various schools of Aikido, Karate, Jitsu, and so on – or their American and European counterparts since they were interested in martial arts.
The list of Japanese and European producers attending the Aiki Expo is impressive enough to amaze any skilled eastern BI.
This includes Christian Tiser, Hiroshi Ikeda, Hiroshi Saito, James Williams, Seiji Tanaka, Bruce Brockman, and a slew of lesser-known names.
Only for this year’s Aiki Expo, thirty-six masters of various oriental styles and schools traveled to California from all over the world.
Although the title of this tournament emphasizes Aikido, this is not always the case.
If you look at the official Aiki Expo website on Yahoo, you will see how many various areas of BI are represented there.
