Colleen A. Burns is an LMHC, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Integrative Health Coach, and a Certified Mind-Body Practitioner. She has over 20 years of experience counseling people and families and is the creator of Restore Body Balance in Brookline, MA, where she serves as an integrative health counselor, tailoring whole-health programs to each client’s requirements. Ms. Burns incorporates cutting-edge research into her practice, and her broad expertise and critical technique of integrating standard psychotherapy with adjunct treatments enables her clients to experience the full range of long-term improvements in their lives.
Ms. Burns earned a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston College in Massachusetts. She has worked for both the public and private sectors, as well as charitable groups and government-sponsored projects. Ms. Burns worked as a staff clinician at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and has taught at national conferences. She also co-authored a treatment manual for the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), an NIDA-funded project.
