Geriatric individuals are difficult to care for. There are frequently several diagnoses. Sometimes the drugs provided have unwelcome – and avoidable – adverse effects.
I’m sure there have been moments in the past when you felt you could have done more when you watched the patient’s frustrations, worries, and actions.
During your next shift, you may be assigned to care for a patient who is having substantial agitation, sleep issues, suicidal ideation, chronic diseases to treat, and polypharmacy concerns. How can you be certain that you are adequately prepared? Get your Geriatric Certificate today!
Watch as I, Nanette Lavoie-Vaughan, MSN, ANPCP-DNP, explain the tried-and-true best practices I’ve learned through years of assessing and treating patients in acute care, long-term care, and home health settings. This thorough two-day teaching session is focused on what I’ve discovered to be the most difficult diagnoses and stressful geriatric scenarios.
If you order now, you will also receive extra materials with useful tools and the most recent recommendations from The American Geriatric Society, The Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, and The American Psychiatric Association.
The last year has been difficult. For our patients, their families, and everyone working on the front lines. I want this training to be both beneficial and pleasant. You will learn via a blend of cutting-edge research, inventiveness, and passionate passion. You will leave with a clear grasp of what a difference we can all make as I present genuine patient experiences and case studies.
