In New Hampshire and Maine, Dr. Brian Kaufman specializes in Interventional Pain Management and Addiction Medicine. In his professional areas, he fights for more patient resources and promotes trauma-informed patient-centered approaches. In his treatment, he employs hypnosis, integrative and osteopathic concepts, and interventional pain methods. He also writes papers and textbook chapters, as well as teaching medical students, interns, and residents. Dr. Kaufman is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Addiction Medicine, the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.
He shares his home with his wife, Merideth Norris, DO, their three children, three dogs, one cat, five hens, two ducks, and a pet pig. Although it is a zoo, it is his home.

Dr. Merideth Norris has been practicing for over 15 years in Maine. Her practice encompasses Osteopathic Family Medicine as well as the treatment of substance abuse disorders, obesity, and pain management. She has experience working in emergency rooms around Maine, as well as detox facilities, inpatient treatment settings, methadone clinics, and outpatient rehabilitation programs. Dr. Norris maintains a private practice in addition to being the Medical Director of Enso Recovery. Dr. Norris is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Medicine in Osteopathic Family Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine in Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine in Obesity Medicine.
She is regularly seen in the press campaigning for more services for persons suffering from substance use disorders, and she prepares extensive testimony for state legislation on opioid policy and treatment access. She has been on both local public radio and the national Reelz network as an addiction specialist. Dr. Norris recently became a USA Boxing Ringside Physician and the medical consultant for Susan Elia MacNeal, author of the Maggie Hope mystery series. Dr. Norris is the father of three children.
